Abstract


E-Government represents an important step in public administration reform and it involves a digitization process which aims to facilitate the interactions between public authorities and citizens through information technology applications. The implementation of electronic government encountered some problems, therefore in this paper we aim to identify those factors which significantly influence the adoption and development of electronic government, through a study regarding the European Union Member States and candidate countries.
